What is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist?

A Registered Holistic Nutritionist is a professional trained in nutrition who educates individuals about the benefits of a sound nutritional program & a healthy lifestyle in order to build and maintain wellness.

Eating well also means considering the quality of the foods you're eating. Choosing fresh, organically grown fruit & vegetables and organic meat free from added hormones & antibiotics is an excellent place to start. Incorporating more nuts, seeds, lequmes, and fish into your diet, as well as avoiding those processed food options are important things to consider when making healthy food choices.

In the past, it was customary to follow the Canada Food Guide in order to achieve dietary wellness. However, since every person is biochemically unique, individual nutritional imbalances and weaknesses must be assessed.

RHNs help others to make the best possible food choices, design dietary supplement programs and assess toxicity levels in an individual.

Many factors must be considered when making a nutritional assessment: digestion, assimilation, elimination and food sensitivities in each individual before a Personal Nutrition Plan can be constructed.
